White Trumpet in Paradise

A white trumpet flower hangs from a tree. In this shot, we capture its beauty as the light streaming through the leaves creates an abstract background.

At art shows, I’ve heard children exclaim, “WOW!” as they walked by and saw the 32” x 48” color print on canvas and have been asked, “How long did it take you to paint this? “

It was a moment in time that I was inspired to capture. The photograph was taken in December 2012 in Sydney, Australia.

This is the photograph that inspired the launch of Zenacity Photography.

This photo has not been edited from the original - except to turn from color to BW.

Log Monster

This photograph from the collection has the art critics most excited. Do you agree?

A random photograph was taken on a morning hike in Tehachapi, CA, back in DEC 2008. It was an interesting log, and I loved the lighting, but the photo was UGLY, although intriguing. I was inspired to see what it would look like in BW —STUNNING.

The background was plain in real life — no photoshop here.

Lighthouse View

I love capturing the view from my subject’s point of view. After photographing a New England Lighthouse, I turned to find this serene view. Truly the calm before the summer storm that day in June 2021.

You can make out the shadow of the gallery deck of the lighthouse in the bottom left.

Prehistoric Future

The Great Blue Heron is a fascinating creature flying long distances and often alone.

This photograph was captured “on the fly.” I turned to grab my tripod, then off he flew, so I flew into action.

It was pure instinct and the luck of an overcast day that framed up one of my favorite photographs to date.

Reminiscent of a time when dinosaurs roamed the earth, framed by a metal fence reminding us that we are in the future. This photograph is aptly named “Prehistoric Future.”
